for the birds {sunday snapshot}
Last Monday was Family Day, but Miss I was not feeling well, and Bob had to work. Miss C and I decided that we wanted to get outside for a while. We agreed that a nature walk would be perfect. We filled a bag full bird seed and headed to our favourite place. It was a gorgeous walk and the chick-a-dees were thrilled to eat our treats. It is so beautiful and peaceful when you walk through the forest when it is filled with snow. The only sounds we heard were the swooshing of our snow pants, the chick-a-dees sweet call and the woodpecker's knock on the trees. We both left feeling energized and agreed to visit again soon!

Sounds like a great way to spend some time -- love the photos!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun to feed the birds! My hubby and I love to go out and do this! Very cute photos!
ReplyDeleteWow Michelle... These photos are amazing. I can't believe you can go for a walk and experience nature in this way. The birds just fly up to your hands and eat from them? Absolutely adore the last one of the bird taking flight. You really captured it perfectly. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh wow! These are awesome!! Looks like a fun walk :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comment earlier Michelle!!
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous and bright!! How in the world do you get the sweet birds to eat out of your hand?!?! I want to know the 'bird-whisperers' secret!!! Love it, how wonderful!!
A cold winter day and a handful of seed is all the coaxing these little chick-a-dees need. They are so sweet!
DeleteI have always wanted to have a chickadee feed from my hand! These are beautifully done! LOVE it! I am your newest follower!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are here Jenn! These little chick-a-dees are so sweet and hungry for seeds in the snowy forest. We feel pretty grateful they are so anxious to land on our hands.

ReplyDeleteWOW - these are amazing! Surprised you got a bird to feed out of her hand AND you pointing a camera at it didn't scare it away!
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL MOMENT AND PHOTOS!
ReplyDeleteI had a chickadee eat suet from my hand once...it was amazing! They can become very tame in the winter and they are oh so sweet and friendly. Love this post! :)
Oh how beautiful these are!! What an experience to get have a sweet little bird eating out of your hand!! It would be so fun to be able to do this! They are one of my favorite birds and since moving to our current house, I don't see them anymore. My last house, there were a ton of trees. I could look out my bathroom window as there was a big pine tree near the window and see them and the Cardinals.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being featured for this post on Simple Sundays!! Photography is just beautiful!
